From Wickham take the Winchester Road (B2177, turn left on the A334 (Botley), straightaway left into Biddenfield Lane. Mountwood Hse is 0.9 mile on left.
Stoneware pottery by Eveline Chamberlain, Ben Wainwright and Charlotte McArthur. Eveline makes reduction fired domestic pottery in white, flecked or buff/toasted stoneware. She also makes water features and bonsai pots. Ben is a young local potter who throws elegant domestic stoneware whenever he can find time during his A-levels. Charlotte, likes to carve into her pots, creating a mixture of rough, matt and smooth surfaces.
Mountwood Pottery is a teaching pottery offering “make-your-own-bonsai-pot” (slab building) sessions and teaches throwing (on a wheel); some of the student work might be on show and/or for sale.
Jewellery: silver by James Chamberlain, gemstones by Dorothy Yip and beading by Laurentia Doyle. Stained glass: Diane Owen makes stained glass window decorations and decorates mirrors with a mixture of stained glass and mosaic. Wool and textiles: knitted, hand spun and or felted wool by local spinners knitters and weavers, felted soap, textile baskets. Greenwood chairs by Tom Chamberlain. We will limit visitors inside to one “bubble” or 2 people from different “bubbles” at one time and ask visitors to wash their hands before they enter the pottery and wear a facemask inside. If there are other visitors in the pottery and you have to wait your turn, there will be enough to look at outside (under gazebos). Please observe 2meters distancing inside and outside. We accept cash or card payments
