Anne 'Working on location I assimilate the essence of the subject. Through drawing in charcoal I explore the numerous rhythms, shapes and marks in the landscape. This process helps me to develop and reinvent. Subsequently I paint on canvas. I am fascinated by the endless possibilities of paint, and the importance of mark-making.'
Anne Ridsdale trained at Winchester School of Art and now lives in Chandlers Ford. Her work has been exhibited at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, London, and widely in the South of England.

Christine Marlow: 'My work is mostly of abstract or semi abstract landscapes. I start by randomly making marks on gessoed plyboard with pencil, charcoal, and crayon before finishing with acrylic paint. I studied at Southampton college of art before following a career in graphic design and now live in the Hampshire town of Romsey'

Christine O'Sullivan: ' My paintings concern various forms of landscapes, seascapes, cloudscapes and reflections. Despite my choice of familiar scenes, it is not my intention to simply replicate. No preliminary studies or drawings are involved, instead the process of assimilating memories onto the canvas involves layers of meaning and collective memory.
Using rich vibrant oils I create textures which are tactile and using my imagination the paintings produced are atmospheric and imbued with an emotional intensity.
