TANIA WILKIE, ANNE HOWARD & GUEST ARTISTS
From Lee centre (Pier Street), turn left into Marine Parade (B3333), continue straight onto Portsmouth Road. After 1 mile, number 52 is on the left hand side after the first turning for York Crescent..
The exhibition will take place in the garden rooms and garden at 52 Portsmouth Road, and there will be seating available in the garden. We really look forward to welcoming visitors to the exhibition, but to ensure safety and adequate social distancing, viewing will be by appointment only and for a maximum of two person from one household group at a time. Visitors can therefore attend with confidence about their safety and there is absolutely no obligation to purchase anything – it will just be lovely to be able to show our work in these strange times.
Cash, credit or debit cards accepted. Sadly, due to the virus, refreshments and toilet facilities will not be available this year.
Tania is now an artist and maker of hand-made textile items, based in Lee-on-the-Solent, in Hampshire. Having left full-time work quite recently as an accountant and then a Paramedic, Tania now has more time to devote to creative pursuits. She enjoys taking part in the Hampshire Open Studios event, Titchfield Art and Craft shows and various other craft fayres and art exhibitons. Tania paints primarily in watercolour and oils and has a preference for painting animals (sometimes quirky) both domestic and wild, seascapes and work featuring her travels both at home and abroad. She makes aprons, bags, cushions and other home furnishing items using colourful, quality fabric and is always keen to discuss commissions either for art work or textile items.
Tania is a keen member of a local art group, attends regular art sessions and is an associate member of the Yellow Edge Gallery in Gosport.
Please have a look at her new website www.taniawilkie.com .
Anne retired from Radiography recently and since then, has returned to her first love, art (well, second after her family!). Having completed a foundation diploma in Art & Design, she joined a local art group and has been encouraged to experiment with different media and subjects..
As a keen photographer, Anne is inspired by our local coastline, countryside and travelling further afield. Anne also enjoys life studies. Her work primarily features watercolours and oils for their vibrant colours, or pencil and inks for more illustrative work. Seascapes, landscapes, wildlife and life studies are all available as original works, prints and cards..
