I work mostly with mixed media including collage. My paintings are inspired by the coast and moorland of South west Cornwall and by the more contemporary of Basingstoke town. My intention is to represent the beauty to be found in all these places. My paintings portray this through varying degrees of both abstract and realistic elements that aim to convey a sense of place through the atmosphere and emotional response I experienced whilst there.

The work shown here includes:

“The Tree” A typical Cornish tree swept into a shape by the wind. Mixed media on paper. Un-mounted. 59cm x 42cm £125

“ Penberth Cove” A tiny little working fishing harbour with the most amazing landing slipway made of huge yellow stones. Mixed media including collage, Mounted and framed. 52cm x 42cm £ 175

“ The castle” from Memories Lost and Found series. A more abstract mixed media representation of childhood memories. Framed. 63cm x 28cm £125

“ Stone walls” from Memories Lost and Found series. A blend of abstract and representational elements reflecting my love of the stone walls in Derbyshire, a special childhood place for me. Framed 33cm x 33cm £ 95
